Caramelized Onion Dip with Veggies and Grissini

Ingredients
  • Sweet Onion, Finely Diced 1
  • Olive Oil 1 Tbsp
  • Reduced Fat Sour Cream 8 oz
  • Low Fat Cream Cheese 4 oz
  • Fresh Thyme 1 Tsp
  • Fresh Chives, Chopped 1 Tsp
  • Salt 1/4 Tsp
  • Apple Cider Vinegar 1 Tbsp
  • Raw Cauliflower Florets for Serving
  • Raw Carrots for Serving
  • Flavis Grissini Breadsticks for Serving
Preparation
  1. In a large skillet heat olive oil and onions over medium heat until you start to hear them sizzle, ~1-2 minutes. Reduce heat to low and cook for about 15-20 minutes or until they turn translucent and caramelize. They should look golden brown when done. Make sure the heat is low or else they will burn.
  2. Meanwhile, in a small bowl add the sour cream, cream cheese, thyme, chives salt and vinegar. With a spoon stir together until thoroughly combined. Stir in the onions once they are done cooking.
  3. Serve along with raw carrots, raw cauliflower and Flavis Grissini breadsticks. The dip can be served warm or cold.
